Presidential Spokesperson Edwin “dawende” Lacierda must really love Twitter because he seemingly endorses it by putting blame on residents who do not follow the twitter account of their Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Lacierda says that many got surprised with the heavy rains and flooding because “they are obviously not following the DOST twitter account” where the announcements of PAGASA, the weather bureau of the Philippine, were sent.
Huh? In a third world country where the majority of the population has no personal Internet connection, he expects the common people, who are the most likely to be affected by the rain and flash-floods, to have a twitter account?
He then goes on defending himself in Twitter claiming he never quoted on just relying on Twitter, and asks everyone to read the Philippine Daily Inquirer article carefully before jumping into conclusions.
